INVESTOR RELATIONS RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Manhattan based IR Company is looking to fill an entry to mid level position. Our company specializes on Investor Relations for Shipping Companies listed in the NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX, Closed-End Funds and ETFs, and non-US companies accessing the US market.

Responsibilities:
• Contact key members of the investment community via phone to gather commentary on clients or the market
• Monitor trading activity and relevant news releases for clients and upper management.
• Track industry and client news and data on major financial networks, websites and databases;
• Compile industry and sector reports for clients such as broker activity and shareholder development reports;
• Update client websites with client generated news;
• Update Company's websites on shipping and Closed-End Funds and contribute to their continued development with new information sources;
• Proofread and edit client press releases, factsheets and investor presentations;
• Assist upper management on special projects for client work.

Qualifications:
• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in a related field and interested in pursuing a career in the financial markets.
• Some financial or investor relations experience would be considered a plus.
• Be comfortable working in fast-paced and deadline-oriented situations
• Be self-motivated, have a positive attitude and should be ambitious to work in an entrepreneurial environment
• Strong communication, writing, organizational and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are beneficial.

WEB DESIGNER/DEVELOPER

Responsibilities:
• Design and creation of website front-end;
• Create professional quality graphics;
• Design the content-layout, navigation and overall web usability
• Identify project requirements;
• Ensure proper implementation of designs;
• Frequent updating of existing websites;
• Incorporate MySQL database and PHP scripting.

Qualifications:
• Expert knowledge of HTML and Cascading Style Sheets.
• Candidate must possess a broad knowledge of web graphic design techniques and principles.
• Advanced creative and visual design skills.
• Candidate must have a web portfolio.
• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Be comfortable working in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to execute projects under tight deadlines.
